AHIMA Announces Collaboration with Wolters Kluwer to Provide Student Members with Access to MediRegs Coding Center Student Workflow Solution

Chicago — August 26, 2020 — The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory U.S. today announced that AHIMA student members now have­­ the opportunity to access Wolters Kluwer’s MediRegs Coding Center Student workflow solution through the AHIMA VLab™ platform. AHIMA VLab™ is a virtual practice environment for students to explore real-world healthcare technology and build career-focused experience through integrated learning activities.

The MediRegs Coding Center Student workflow solution from Wolters Kluwer is designed to be an easy-to-use tool in which students can learn the basics of coding, reimbursement, and compliance. Students who use it experience the kind of realistic scenarios they will later encounter as health information (HI) professionals. Educators will also be able to pair MediRegs Coding Center Student with their own interactive lesson plans, teaching students how to stay up to date on the latest regulatory issues HI professionals need to know.
