Chicago — August 26, 2020 — The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory U.S. today announced that AHIMA student members now have the opportunity to access Wolters Kluwer’s MediRegs Coding Center Student workflow solution through the AHIMA VLab™ platform. AHIMA VLab™ is a virtual practice environment for students to explore real-world healthcare technology and build career-focused experience through integrated learning activities.
The MediRegs Coding Center Student workflow solution from Wolters Kluwer is designed to be an easy-to-use tool in which students can learn the basics of coding, reimbursement, and compliance. Students who use it experience the kind of realistic scenarios they will later encounter as health information (HI) professionals. “MediRegs Coding Center Student is a perfect fit for the AHIMA VLab™,” said AHIMA CEO Wylecia Wiggs Harris, PhD, CAE. “We strive to bring students the tools they need to be as prepared as possible for a career in health information, and this workflow solution from Wolters Kluwer will do just that.”
