  • Consider new policies and procedures needed for verifying electronic record requests
  • Prepare for an uptick in duplicates and overlay data in medical records
  • Implement a quality assurance program to validate all electronic responses for medical records request
  • Maintain an EHR interoperability "score card" to prove compliance with these new regulations
